By popular demand, one of our most requested training programs is now available through
license agreement. You can add it to your line-up of courses -- and facilitate it
yourself or use staff to lead the sessions.
Perhaps your organization has an in-house trainer or facilitator, or a team of people
who fill this role. Perhaps your own job involves training and development. Whatever
the case, you can now bring this popular session in-house.
......Building a Great Workplace: Ideas,
Tools & You!
The workshop is all about creating a workplace that engages people, that makes
the most of their brainpower and emotional intelligence, that makes improvement everyone's
business. It's designed for a wide audience: managers, supervisors, and front-line
associates. Based on adult-learning principles, it includes meaningful activities,
focused dialogue, opportunities for reflection, and an end-of-session emphasis on
developing individual and team action steps.
The full package gives you all session materials (in ready-to-print PDF format),
dynamic visuals (PowerPoint), a train-the-trainer briefing, detailed trainer notes
(with a comprehensive agenda and instructions on how to facilitate the activities),
and ongoing support. You get everything you need to lead the session at your organization
in two-hour, four-hour, or full-day formats -- for groups numbering from 10 to 50
people. You even get informational materials for promoting the session throughout
the workplace.
To ensure that your in-house trainers
are well-prepared, Tom Terez would be on-site to lead the first session for a group
of about 30 people -- so the trainers could experience the workshop first hand. This
would be followed by a train-the-trainer segment.
In terms of content, the workshops gives people the knowledge and skills they need
to be active participants in building a better workplace and strengthening
their workplace culture.
- The session provides insights into
key factors that strengthen every great workplace: purpose, acknowledgment, respect,
ownership, balance, and so on. The aim is to have people go beyond their own preconceptions
and gain a fuller understanding.
- Through a quick-take assessment,
participants use these factors to take a new look at their work environment -- and
pinpoint the greatest strengths and biggest improvement opportunities.
- Teamwork is a practice of choice
in all great organizations, but it's always a challenge. The workshop looks at emotional
intelligence, the importance of dialogue, and the powerful concepts of "bidding
for connection" and "turning toward."
- Change, trust, and communication
are linked in all sorts of ways. Participants put these concepts to work -- and see
first hand how they can have a positive impact.
- There's an emphasis on action.
People leave the session with their own tailored action steps that they can put to
work right away.
Veteran trainers and facilitators
will find plenty of opportunities to weave in their own examples and expertise --
while people who are new to training will appreciate the clear guidance and easy-to-follow
design.
